HEARING HELD ON 8 APRIL 2017

The hearing in the Dispute concerning delimitation of the maritime boundary and related issues between Allbek and Krensburg in the Gulf of Orliz (Allbek / Krensburg) opens on Saturday, 8 April 2017 at 9:20.

Background of the case

The dispute was submitted by way of special agreement between the two States concerned to a special chamber of the Tribunal, formed in application of article 15, paragraph 2, of the Statute of the Tribunal.

The Special Chamber of Court Room One consists of President Zhang Hui, Judges Guan Jian and He Tiantian. Zhang Hui presides over the Chamber.

The Special Chamber of Court Room Two consists of President Jian Jisong, Judges Huang Wei and Zheng Dongping. Jian Jisong presides over the Chamber.

The Special Chamber of Court Room Three consists of President Xu Heyun, Judges Xu Junhua and Liao Li. Xu Heyun presides over the Chamber.

The Special Chamber of Court Room Four consists of President Feng Jiehan, Judges Ma Bo and Mi Chenxi. Feng Jiehan presides over the Chamber.

The Chamber will hear the merits of the case during the upcoming oral proceedings. These have been preceded by the filing by both Parties of their written pleadings within the time-limits fixed by orders of the President of the Chamber.
